Oxycontin is an ongoing problem in Michigan. Its addictive powers are a result of unmonitored physician’s scripts, as well as a street form of drugs. Here individuals, who have abused Oxycontin, can be treated on a daily basis. They are administered a dose of methadone or the pill form of Suboxone to get weaned off of Oxycontin.The success rate is good, however there are some individuals who use these clinics for a “quick fix” to their addictions. These individuals are unsuccessful and become stuck in the “revolving door” phase at these clinics.

Michigan officials are taking the Oxycontin problem seriously and plan to wage the war on this opiate until it is eliminated!
